Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Why should you hire me as your advocate?  You should hire me as your advocate because I have the best interest of your child near and dear to my heart.  I have walked in your shoes as a parent and as an educational leader at a highly competitive school district in Texas. I understand what the school district tends to do to ignore the issues you are facing and I know how to effectively combat those situations.

What makes me different from other advocates? I stand out from other advocates because, in addition to my training as a teacher, administrator, and behavior interventionist, I am also a trauma-trained somatic practitioner who helps clients address the trauma associated with learning disabilities.  Navigating this process is stressful and I can help you through all sides of this uncharted territory.

How would hiring an educational advocate help my family? Hiring an educational advocate can help your family by providing expert guidance on education laws, navigating the school system, ensuring your child receives necessary services and accommodations, and resolving disputes effectively.

What is a somatic coach or trauma informed practitioner?  A somatic coach or practitioner helps individuals by enhancing body awareness, processing trauma stored in the body, and integrating physical sensations with emotional and psychological healing to support overall well-being and personal growth.

What does a somatic coach, or a trauma trained practitioner do to help you? A somatic coach or trauma-trained practitioner helps you by guiding you to understand and heal from trauma through a deeper connection between your body sensations and emotional experiences.

Why should I hire you as my Somatic Practitioner?  You should hire me as a somatic practitioner because I can help you and your child heal from trauma and improve your well-being by linking physical sensations with emotional behaviors affected by life stressors.
